Introductory Lesson:

A one hour introductory lesson will be offered at no charge. If the free introductory lesson is cancelled or rescheduled less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, the free lesson is forfeited, and the first lesson will only be scheduled after prepayment of one session at the contract rate of $60.

Scheduling:

Lessons must be paid for before scheduling. Use the contact form below or call Jim at (561) 573-5719 to schedule lessons.

Real progress requires consistent, focused instruction and practice.

It is very important that students attend their weekly lesson and that the prescribed exercises are practiced consistently.

I reserve the right to discontinue lessons due to repeated absences/ cancellations.

I also reserve the right to discontinue lessons with students who are not progressing due to a lack of practice on their part.

Payment:

Payment may be made through the website store at

Check or cash will also be accepted, but must be received prior to scheduling.

Rates:

Contract - 4 lessons per month:

1 hour (recommended):  $240

½ hour: $120

For months with five weeks, the fifth week’s lesson may be paid for individually at the contract rate ($60 per hour or $30 per ½ hour).

Drop in rate:

1 hour: $70

½ hour: $35

Non-contract students may take an individual lesson at this rate if scheduling permits.

Cancellation:

Jim Dix is a professional performer as well as a teacher, and may occasionally have to reschedule lessons due to performance obligations. In such instances, notice will be given at least 48 hours in advance. 

If a student must reschedule a lesson, a minimum of 24 hours notice must be given. If less than 24 hours notice is given, the lesson is forfeited and student will be charged for the missed lesson. Exceptions may be made in the case of emergencies. Last minute conflicts with other interests, activities or appointments are not considered emergencies.

If a lesson is cancelled within 48 hours by Jim Dix, the student’s next lesson will be given free of charge.

Make-up lessons must be done within 90 days of the originally scheduled lesson. 

Recording:

Students are welcome to record their lessons and encouraged to do so. Using lesson recordings in practice helps to reinforce instruction and maximize results.
